Set Device Clock Manually
If your GBE device is connected to Wi-Fi, its clock will set automatically. If it is not connected to Wi-Fi, you must set the clock manually using the set_clock.json file on the SD card.
To set the clock manually:
- Download a copy of set_clock.json using the button below; the file will reflect your correct local time.
- Copy the file to your SD card, making sure the file name is set_clock.json and replacing the existing version on the card.
- Reinsert the SD card into your device to update the clock.
About This File
The set_clock.json file contains your current local time and timezone information. When you place this file on the SD card and insert it into your GBE device, the device will read these values to set its internal clock.
The device will only read the file once and then clear the values automatically, so you can leave the file on the SD card for future use if needed.
